Seminars, laboratory and research activities, interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary training
Seminars will be delivered by researchers and faculty from highly qualified national and international research institutions and universities.
Language training activities will be organized in collaboration with other doctoral programs at the University. All doctoral students will be encouraged to take exams that will lead to internationally recognized certificates, including through the ROSETTA STONE platform made available by the University. Therefore, proficiency in English, essential for research and technical-scientific studies at the international level, will be specifically assessed during the admission exam. Doctoral students will also be required to conduct research and study English-language bibliographical sources, speak at international conferences, and draft reports and technical-scientific papers in English.
The activities involve the acquisition of IT skills related to research, especially software (databases; indexing programs; content analysis programs; statistical processing programs – MATLAB, SPSS; image processing programs – Adobe Indesign; Xpress).
In agreement with other doctoral programs at the University, advanced IT training activities (courses and/or seminars) will be organized, including courses on operating systems and programming, including advanced/integrated scientific programming languages. Doctoral students will also have the opportunity to participate in seminars and refresher/training courses organized by suppliers of scientific equipment and IT support for research activities.
Training activities in research management and knowledge of European and international research systems, as well as entrepreneurial development, will be organized, in agreement with other doctoral programs at the University. These activities may involve the participation of highly qualified external faculty (courses and/or seminars) and/or by leveraging the expertise available within the University.
Doctoral students will also be involved in research projects, sharing their methodologies, objectives, results, and access to national and international funding (PRIN; FIRB; HORIZON, PON), as well as project preparation and reporting procedures.
Promotion of Research Results and Intellectual Property: The doctoral program promotes training activities on the promotion of research results and intellectual property, including through the participation of external faculty (courses and/or seminars).
Doctoral students will be encouraged to promote their research results through presentations at seminars, workshops, and national and international conferences, as well as publications in international journals.
