Seminars, laboratory and research activities, interdisciplinary training, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary
Seminars are planned to be given by Researchers and Lecturers from Research centres and National and International Universities of high scientific qualification.
It is planned to organize further language education activities in agreement with other doctoral programs of the University. However, all doctoral students will be stimulated to take examinations that enable them to obtain internationally recognized certificates also by taking advantage of the ROSETTA STONE platform made available by the University. In this regard, the knowledge of the English language, which is essential for technical research and study activities scientific studies at the international level, is specifically assessed in the examination for admission. PhD students will also be expected to perform research and in-depth bibliographical analysis in English, speak at international conferences and writing reports and technical-scientific papers in English.
Activities include the acquisition of computer skills related to research, especially software (databases; indexing programs; programs for content analysis; statistical processing programs - MATLAB, SPSS; programs for processing of images – InDesign Adobe; X press).
It is planned to organize in agreement with other doctoral programs of the University activities on computer enhancement (courses and/or seminars) on operating systems, and programming including advanced/integrated scientific programming languages. Doctoral students will also be able to participate in seminars and refresher/training courses organized by the firms supplying scientific equipment and computer support for research activities.
It is planned to organize, in agreement with other doctoral programs of the University, activities of training in the field of research management and knowledge of European and European and international research and entrepreneurial development, including with the participation of highly qualified external faculty (courses and/or seminars), and/or making use of the expertise present within the University.
Doctoral students will also be involved in research projects by sharing their methodologies, objectives, results, and ways of accessing national and international funding (PRIN; FIRB; HORIZON, PON) and the methods of project compilation and reporting.
Valorization of research results and intellectual property: The course of the PhD fosters training activities on the valorization of research results and intellectual property, including the participation of external faculty (courses and/or seminars).
PhD students will be encouraged to valorize the results of their research in the form of presentations in seminars, workshops, congresses both national and international, and publications in international journals.
