The initiative, promoted by the University Sustainability Commission, will take place from July 15 to 17, 2026, in Messina. It is an interdisciplinary training program for doctoral students, aimed at developing transversal skills essential for research, with particular emphasis on scientific communication, sustainability, and the analysis of future scenarios.

The Summer Lab—comprising lectures, discussions, and workshops inspired by the UNESCO Futures Literacy Laboratory methodology—will offer an advanced training experience on highly topical issues, including climate change, artificial intelligence, the circular economy, and the responsibility of innovation.

Participation is free and represents an important growth opportunity for doctoral students, who will be invited to interact with national and international experts.
