In compliance with the AVA3 (Self-Evaluation, Evaluation, Accreditation) system, promoted by ANVUR, the University of Messina systematically collects and analyzes the opinions of doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers.
Collecting opinions is a mandatory element of quality monitoring for doctoral programs and a fundamental tool for continuously improving the educational offerings and research activities.
The doctoral program administers annual questionnaires to both current doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers, the latter generally 6–12 months after graduation.

The results of the questionnaires are analyzed by the Quality Assurance (QA) Group of the Doctoral Course and used in the self-assessment processes and planning of improvement actions.
